Carbon Accounting Methodology

Narrow claims, stated assumptions.

Every CO2e number on the platform should be traceable to a versioned methodology, not a mood.

Carbon accounting boundary

The central claim is narrow: flowers diverted from uncontrolled dumping are treated as avoided anaerobic decomposition. We do not count avoided water-treatment emissions or downstream health benefits because the project does not measure them directly.

Formula

`kg flowers x decomposition_fraction x methane_yield x GWP100 = kg CO2e avoided`

The active central scenario uses methane GWP100 of 27.9 from IPCC AR6 and conservative decomposition assumptions.
